But you did, so I promise to do my best!

K'Naan is my man this week, first encountered when I heard his incredibly catchy 'Wavin' Flag', which I have been humming on the streets for days. Apart from this football tune (it was the World Cup anthem in 2010), K'Naan's songs have catchy melodies, often political lyrics, and a characteristic voice. He's somewhat similar to Eminem (although less annoying), and has done some cool collaborations, my favourite being Stop for a Minute with Keane (who have an awful website, and lots of spelling mistakes...).
Wave the flag!

Previous music of the week:
This week, I've fallen a little in love with 'Kingdom of Rust' by Doves, and I realise I know several of their melancholy, melodic songs already, like Caught by the River and There Goes the Fear from (500) Days of Summer. Mainstream, maybe, and some might say kooky, but I like the vocals, lyrics and the ambiguity of songs that could be sung in darker country bars in the American South-West, as well as trendy brick bars in Bristol.
Give them a try in Spotify!
